About
Posted by shaun |High Hearts were formed when two songwriters accidentally used the Lambertville public teleport simultaneously.
They landed right in the middle of a blizzard in late winter ‘05. Before a roaring crowd of five, they played their first set in public, Matt on guitar and Shaun on mandolin. Both of them sang in harmony. Or did they each sing separate melodies and it only appeared to be harmony? Either way, it sounded good!
Now, you can walk down the street in New Hope, PA and you just might find High Hearts busking at an intersection. They serve up a unique acoustic blend of old-timey, ragtime, bluegrass, and rock ‘n roll styles with a focus on lyrics and vocal harmonies.
The High Hearts’ music has stretched far beyond the borders of New Hope and Lambertville with spins and live performances on radio stations such as WPRB 103.3FM (Princeton), WRSU 88.7FM (New Brunswick), and WDVR 87.9FM (Seargentsville). The High Hearts perform in the greater New York and Philadelphia Metropolitan area at venues such as John and Peter’s (New Hope), Upstairs @ The World Cafe and Fergie’s Pub (Philadelphia), and Rue de Jardin (Hoboken), among others.
