8:00 pmto9:00 pm

We go on at 8pm.  This is going to be a great show, folks.  We will be opening up for Barefoot Truth, a national touring act that reminds me of a mashup of Jack Johnson, Dispatch, and some good old roots reggae.  They event feature didgeridoo on a number of tunes!  Word Cafe is a wonderful venue to see music.  They have great atmosphere and good food, so make it a party and grab some dinner before our show.  The cover is $13 and you can get your tickets at the World Cafe’s web site, or get one dollar off at the World Cafe box office before the day of the show.

High Hearts will be playing on Sat, Feb. 20th at Mitchell’s Cafe in Lambertville.  This is the full 4-piece.  Justin Pope and Lisa Rich take the “stage” at 9:30 for an opening set, followed by 2 sets of High Hearts goodness by the woodburning stove.  We have lots of new material to keep it interesting.  You can get dinner beforehand at Tortuga’s, the mexican restaurant, attached to Mitchell’s.  Artwork by Aylin Green.

We have been selected as the kickoff band for the Beta Hi-Fi festival held by the World Cafe Live.  This is a big deal for us, so we would really appreciate your support.  In my opinion, World Cafe is one of the best places to see music in Philly.  There are judges, but our success also depends upon audience votes.  If we do well on August 15th, then we are in the finals on Friday, August 21.  Here’s a link to their site with some of the other bands playing that evening.

For those of you who have not been to a Soupçon Salon yet, here’s your chance to enjoy an incredible environment and meal, while letting High Hearts tickle your eardrums for at least 45 minutes.  We don’t have too many public shows booked this summer, so make sure to come out to this one!
Soupçon Salon takes place every other Monday night at Manon, 19 N. Union Street in Lambertville, NJ.  Doors open at 7:00 and performances start at 8:30 sharp, lasting approximately 45 minutes.

Folks…we’ve been away for far too long.  Matt and I are happy to announce a couple shows this March.  Here are the details:

Friday, March 13th @ 8:30pm
Doylestown Moose on East State Street

Take the opportunity to get your St. Paddy’s day drink on early.  I’m sure we’ll throw a few bones to the Irish among us, in addition to showcasing a bunch of new tunes.

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings are two of our heroes. Their music has been such an inspiration for us in terms of songwriting, vocal harmonies, and instrumental textures. One day about two years ago, we decided to set up some mics in my living room on a rainy day. We left the windows open so you can hear the rain in the recordings!
